Every year transgender identifying people are lost at the hands of another. We want to bring visibility to this problem.
In partnership with the City of South Bend, we are going to donate a tree for transgender lives lost in the United States. This tree will be donated to the city park department to be used in a city park along with a memorial stone that will list the persons being memorialized and the year of their death. Our hope is that visibility will increase awareness thus reducing the number of lives lost each year. To date in 2016 there have been 24 transgender related murders in the United States.
Our campaign goal is $2,000. We are looking for 20 people or groups to donate $100.
